Meditation – It will change your life

It seems too simple, but it’s true. When you start meditating, things change, for the better.

I have had countless people tell me they’ve tried to meditate, but just can’t. Their minds are too busy; it’s impossible to shut off all the stuff in their head; they can’t sit still that long; they get bored.

Well, I am here to tell you that you can meditate. Everyone can, even those of us with Monkey Mind.

And, even more exciting, you will soon learn to love meditation as much as a #dreamvacation! Really! And you can do it every day! Shazam!

There is no right or wrong way

You do not have to sit or look a certain way for a certain amount of time, and you do not have to “empty” your mind (who can?)

I have had people tell me that I must sit cross-legged, that I should stare fixedly at an icon, that I need to set my timer for 20 minutes, and that I have to breathe through my nose. All of these are options, but none of them are mandatory for a meditation to be valid.

All efforts are valid

Here’s the secret: You just have to start doing it. (funny how this super-secret works for so many things in life!) and then you have to be open to how meditation unfolds for you. Different styles of meditation work for different people: Silence, guided visualizations, music, mantras, chants, lightwork, active (such as dance!), and more.

Meditation is NOT forcing yourself to do nothing for a period of time while you try hard to empty your brain.

#Meditation is simply the state of profound , deep peace that occurs when the mind is calm and silent, yet completely aware.

Let go of expectations of what SHOULD BE and just BE.

P.S I’ve never heard anyone else attest to this, but I believe meditation also improves your sex-life! Think about it. Tuning out the chatter and to-do lists in your mind makes it easier to “go there,” if you know what I mean….
